OBJECTIVES:
To create awareness about democratic rights and responsibilities among students.
To encourage students to register as voters after attaining eligible age.
To provide knowledge about the election process and voting system.
To promote ethical and informed voting practices.
To conduct awareness programs, seminars, rallies, and competitions related to elections.
To motivate youth participation in democratic activities.
To strengthen civic sense and social responsibility among students.
VISION:
Electoral Literacy Club aims at strengthening the culture of electoral participation among
young and future voters.
MISSION:
To promote awareness of the right to vote among students, faculty members, and the
community.
To educate future voters about voter enrollment and electoral procedures such as EVM
and VVPAT.
To develop a culture of electoral participation and ethical voting by following the
principle “Every vote counts” and “No voter to be left behind.”

ELECTORAL LITERACY CLUB
ANNUAL REPORT – 2025-2026
- On 15 September 2025, the Electoral Literacy Club in association with IQAC organized a Logo Design Competition on the occasion of International Day of Democracy with the participation of 37 students.
- On 26 November 2025, the Electoral Literacy Club in association with IQAC organized an E-Quiz on the occasion of Constitution Day. 748 students participated in the quiz.
- On 23 January 2026, the Electoral Literacy Club in association with IQAC organized a Voters’ Pledge and Group Awareness Program on the occasion of National Voters’ Day with the participation of 28 students.
- On 13th March 2026, the Electoral Literacy Club, in association with IQAC, conducted a Voters Awareness Program to promote responsible voting. A model voting booth was arranged to demonstrate the step-by-step voting procedure.
- On 08 April 2026, the Electoral Literacy Club conducted a 100% Right to Vote Awareness Program in association with the District Administration and Election commission Ranipet. The Chief Guest, Dr. J. U. Chandrakala, I.A.S, District Collector spoke about the importance of voting and responsible citizenship. Students demonstrated the voting process using EVM and explained the roles of election officials. The program created awareness and motivated students to ensure 100% voter turnout.
ANNUAL REPORT – 2024-2025
On October 3, 2024, the Electoral Literacy Club (ELC), in collaboration with the Election Commission, Walaja, organized a wall magazine event and essay writing competition. The theme, ‘Nothing like voting, I vote for sure, inspired 87 students to participate enthusiastically, showcasing their creativity and understanding of electoral rights through thought-provoking essays and visually engaging wall magazine displays. Zahika Mashkoora of III B.Sc., Mathematics won first prize and received cash award of Rs.1000 for wall Magazine competition in district level from Ranipet District collector and others Participations received Certificates organized by Election Commission , Walaja on 25.01.2025
The Electoral Literacy Club celebrated National Constitution Day on November 26, 2024, with events like pledge-taking, essay writing, and an e-quiz on the Indian Constitution. Students participated actively and received e-certificates, enhancing their knowledge and understanding of the Constitution.
On January 24, 2025, the Electoral Literacy Club and IQAC organized a pledge-taking ceremony and a Doodle Art Competition to celebrate National Voters’ Day. The event, themed “Nothing like voting, I vote for sure,” aimed to promote electoral awareness and encourage active participation in the democratic process. A total of 21 students participated, showcasing their creativity and commitment to democratic values.
The Electoral Literacy Club, in collaboration with the Election Section, Walaja, conducted an awareness program on voter enrollment on February 28, 2025. The event featured Mrs. Varalakshmi (Election Deputy Tahsildar) as the Chief Guest, along with Mr. G. Sathish Gopal (Senior Revenue Inspector), who guided students through the application process for Voter Forms 6, 7, and 8. They emphasized the significance of voter registration and encouraged students to actively participate in the electoral process. The program witnessed enthusiastic engagement, with more than 100 students taking part.
