Brief Profile of Dr. Freda Gnanaselvam
Dr. Freda Gnanaselvam had a primary and high school education at St Mary’s Convent Vellore. She did her +2 at Auxilium Higher Secondary School. She then graduated in English Literature at Auxilum College, Katpadi in the year 1983. She completed 3 post graduate studies in Public Administration from University of Madras , Master of Marketing Management from Pondicherry University MBA from Mother Teresa Women’s University. She completed her M.Phil from Madurai Kamaraj University in the year 1993. It was out of interest she did Post graduate diploma in higher education from IGNOU in 1994.
Dr. Freda was awarded the Ph.D degree from Mother Teresa Women’s University in the year 2011 under the supervision of Dr. David Amirtharajan, Dean, Madurai Kamaraj University. She also did counseling courses to understand student psychology and counsel college students.
Her career started as a teacher since 1985. She joined the department of Business Administration at Auxilium College in the year 2004. She received an opportunity to work as Lecturer in Arba Minch University, Ethiopia in the year 2007. She returned to India and joined M.M.E.S Women’s Arts and Science College in 2011. After five years of service at M.M.E.S she again went to Ethiopia and served for two years from 2016-2018 as Associate Professor at University of Gondar, Ethiopia.
She returned to India in July 2018. She was welcomed back at M.M.E.S and again took charge as Principal from October 2018.
Dr. Freda has authored a book titled Customer Relationship Management. She has presented many articles in national and international journals. She is a research supervisor at Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. She served as the Chairman for UG BBA Board of studies in Thiruvalluvar University for one term.
Dr. Freda is a Life Member of Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi.
